New phone! my iPhone 6 Plus fell victim to the dreaded 'touch disease', so I ordered an iPhone 6S! Now I can update the site from my phone with ease! later today I plan to add a link to some nursing mneumonics. Probably on the Helpful Stuff page. For now, it's time to work on my Nursing Process paper!
Another weekend begins! I bought a cool book about IV starts for my Kindle last night. I read a little bit and it has some great stuff! I plan to post some of the tips from it when I read through some more of it. Probably not today though. I have to study for my test on Monday and work on my nursing process paper! I've been putting it off :P
Whew! Successful day today thanks to some tips from some great sites, located here. Yesterday in the ER, I learned the hard way that when it comes to catheter insertion and IV starts (and just about everything else), the plastic dummies are NOTHING like a real patient! You can practice starting an IV on a rubber arm hundreds of times, like I felt I did, and still be unprepared in the real world. It can be tough to get the feel for real patients. Anyways, check out the sites listed under Helpful Stuff, and become a pro sooner than later by learning from the masters!
Clinical day! Do you have your paperwork ready? Click here to get a list of everything you will need! (You can print from here too :)) Don't forget to wear your long socks!

This page is a work in progress. As time goes on, I will make it look better and add more. Let me know if you find it helpful!
